The bathroom and the kitchen take the most amount of time and work to clean. The bathroom is probably your least favorite place to clean, with its many different types of surfaces. In this article we will give you some tips how to keep your bathroom clean with natural cleaners.
Mirrors can be cleaned easily with a 50 / 50 mix of water and vinegar. Put the mix in a spray bottle, spray the mirrors and wipe with some old rags. You can use old t-shirts or newspapers. Keep in mind that with this method, paper towels leave quite a lot of residue. Probably the easiest way to clean your bathroom mirrors is to use microfiber cloths. You will need one wet and one dry for polishing. With this method you don’t need to use any chemicals at all.
Microfiber cloths can also be used to clean the counters, the tiles, the shower and the tub in your bathroom. However, there are other natural options that work great, too. A 50 / 50 water and vinegar mix will clean tiles, counters, cabinet fronts and soap scum in the shower. A paste, made from baking soda and water, will clean the gunk, stuck on the shower and the tub. For the really tough stains you can use vinegar, instead of water. For grout, you can sprinkle baking soda on the bathroom floor, spray with undiluted hydrogen peroxide and scrub with a gentle toothbrush.
For toilets, sprinkle some baking soda around the inside of the toilet to coat, and pour a cup of white vinegar in the water. Use a reusable toilet brush to scrub. The chemical reaction of the baking soda and the vinegar will remove the stains and any lingering smell. You can finish the toilet cleaning by spraying with undiluted hydrogen peroxide and wiping down.
